RE: How Far Have They Come?

This is not a conversation about cutting out aid. It is about using the aid received wisely so that the intended growth, economic, and social occurs. No one says that aid is not needed, it is. However, we, the African nations are sitting on resources that are being bought right from under our noses and a real question must be asked whether these resources are being sold at a price fair to African people, if they should be sold and to whom. A government should act on behalf of its people and between misuse of financial aid coming from abroad and the more recent purchases of African resources by China, it stands to reason that people, the common people should be concerned about their nations. If we never advance ourselves in a way that is sustainable like encouraging innovation, developing human capital through job training and education, build markets within the nation by working together to build transportation infrastructure we will continue to talk about aid, poverty, and starvation for years to come and that is no way for anyone to live.
