Solar Bottle Lights: Simple Innovation
It is quite surprising to see what some simple materials and a little innovation can do. An empty plastic bottle filled with mineral water and a few drops of bleach cemented halfway through a roofing sheet can fill a dreary dark space with light. This simple yet remarkable idea developed by students from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology was first introduced in the Philippians but is now being widely used in African countries like Uganda and Niger.
