Well thought out and written. I like it that you have a journal to show our efforts in trying to teach you our language. Culture, particularly ,language is evolving and it is something that cannot be controlled. As we become more global, some languages will dissolve while others like English will dominate. Unfortunately, the element of language in a culture can die off, but with effort other aspects of culture can be sustained. And that is a good thing. Keep it up and we will keep talking; and teaching one word at a time.
